Previously this place was the hermitage of one of the ancestors of the Griya Gede Manuaba Punggul’s family who was also the owner of this Taman Beji Griya Waterfall park.

Those waterfall has been used from generation to generation as a holy bath to perform religious ceremonies / Panca Yadnya. Begin from this condition, Ida Bagus Eka / Atuaji Eka make a huge decision to open this worship place for public
So that the holy water in the entire Beji area is useful for all people & beliefs.
And they may use it for the holy bathing ritual procession / MELUKAT (purification).
Tirta Empul Temple Holy Water
Tirta Empul is dedicated to Vishnu, the Hindu God of water. In the Balinese language, Tirta Empul loosely translated means water gushing from the earth, and for this reason, Tirta Empul is regarded as a holy spring. The Tirta Empul Temple includes shrines to Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma, as well as one for Indra and Mount Batur. It is considered one of the five most holy temples in all of Bali and is considered one of the holiest water sources in Bali. You can also find other holy water temples in Bali such as Pura Ulun Danu at Lake Beratan, Pura Tirta Tawar at Gianyar, Pura Tirta Harum at Bangli, Pura Tirta Taman Mumbul at Badung, many more.

We had a great experience with Adrian Tours. Adrian was very communicative, helpful and always gave fair, honest prices. He was happy to help us with any trip we wanted to take. We originally booked one of his drivers for an airport transport and then continued to hire car driver and scooter driver services throughout our six-week stay. All of his cars were tidy, had AC and were well kept. The scooters were equipped with well fitting helmets. They even let us borrow their umbrella for the duration of our stay. The drivers were amazing - punctual, friendly, helpful and were happy to follow our lead (we have a toddler so sometimes had specific requests). Big thanks to our cat drivers Nando, Wayan Madya and Wayan Kiki as well as our scooter drivers Mike and Galang. I highly recommend Adrian Tours to book your drivers through during your stay in Bali. We will definitely use their services again for future

Adrian helping me plan out all the details of my trip before arrival, including prices. As we progressed through my trip the drivers were very willing to adapt the schedule as timing and energy levels changed. My favorite driver was Rofi who was with me most of the trip. There were some very long days as I was moving around the island and he was great at being aware of when I was talkative and when I just needed quiet. Overall I would absolutely book with Adrian again!

I can recommend Putu we learnt a lot about Balinese culture, if you are interested in how to cook Balinese food he does cooking classes and also if you are in a villa he will come and cook for you. Wr had the pleasure of utilising Adrian's Bali Tours just last week, whilst on our very first family holiday to Bali.
